There are very few things as sweet as sipping a Martini Bianco under the moonlight’s reflection in swimming pool. From this unique taste to such the iconic Martini glass and its green olive, it is one of my favorite moments.
I really wanted to convey through this illustration the contrast between the glass’ minimalistic structure and the beautiful curves of this woman’s hand, wearing the incredibly amazing Serpenti ring by Bulgari. Several elements were key in achieving this. The glass’ transparency and reflection, the olive and its curves through the glass. The neon lighting on the overall image and in particular the hand, and finally, all the intricate reflections on the diamonds and ring. At first, the illustration was much darker, but I slightly turned the neon colors to more subtle pastel versions bringing a touch more sensuality.
